Important Tax-Related Deadlines
We want to begin by saying thank you to our wonderful clients. We realize that this has been a difficult time in just about every aspect of our lives, and taxes are no different. Many of you have given us your tax information, and we are actively working on these returns. As a friendly reminder:
Federal tax returns are due July 15, 2020. If you owe any taxes for 2019, there will be no penalties or interest if your file and pay your taxes by this due date.
Tennessee and Arkansas state taxes are also due and must be paid by July 15, 2020.
Mississippi state taxes are due by May 15, 2020. If you live in Mississippi or will owe any Mississippi taxes, we will need to either file by May 15 or file an extension.
Federal and state estimated tax payments for both first and second quarter are now due by July 15, 2020. If you expect to pay estimated tax payments keep in mind that you will need to plan on paying these during this time as well.
If you know that some or all or your information will not be available until after July 15, we will need to file an extension. Please contact us if you know you will be filing an extension to the October 15th deadline.
If you have not gathered your tax information, we would like to encourage you to deliver your information by May 15th. After this date, we may have to extend your return to the October deadline.
We understand that you may have circumstances out of your control. If this is the case, please let us know so that we can help in any way. You can reach us at email@example.com and 901.316.0160
